I lived in Nigeria for my entire childhood. When I came to the United States, my eyes were opened as to how unaware other countries were to the overwhelming economic and cultural challenges of Africa.  It was then I knew I was meant to dedicate my life to bringing a voice to those still in the shadows and to enlighten those totally unaware of the atrocities women and children in Africa endure.

Tragic Inferno Adds Insult to Injury in Ghana

Tragic Inferno Adds Insult to Injury in Ghana2
Two days of heavy rain has left people in the city of Accra homeless and without power.  An inferno started at a petrol station in the capital city.  Flooding has hampered rescue efforts.  It is believed as many as 96 people have died.  Flooding is so bad that families cannot make contact because loved ones are out of their coverage areas.  There is no electricity in many places and people are trapped in various localities.  School has been canceled by the Minister of Education.  Reports are still coming in as to the number of casualties.  The city is badly disorganized and phone networks are down in some areas.
